Speaker: Mary M. Hrinko, Program Specialist for the Riverside County Office on Aging, Care Pathways Project under the Family Caregiver Support Program.
Mary Hrinko is a Program Specialist, for the Riverside County Office on Her experience in social services spans over 20 years, including work with Riverside County and in the non-profit sector. Over 18 years have been spent in implementing Caregiver programs. In 2010, she wrote a grant and has received ongoing funding from the Riverside University Health Systems – Behavioral Health (aka Department of Mental Health) to develop, implement and manage a psycho-educational program for family caregivers of older adults, with the intent to lower participant’s levels of depression and raise their coping skills. The Care Pathways program has been nationally recognized by N4a -National Association of Area Agencies on Aging with an Innovation Award and as a “Bright Idea” by Harvard’s Ash School for Democratic Governance and Innovation.
